The Sheraton Hawaii Bowl pits last year surprise BCS winner, Boise State against the upstart East Carolina University. The Broncos of Boise State turned down a bid to the Humanitarian Bowl; which is being played at their home stadium, for a chance to travel to Hawaii. The Pirates of ECU are 10.5 point underdogs in this matchup. Could the Broncos just be "happy" to be in Hawaii - it certainly looks that way, since they trail ECU by 17 points at the half. Only 10 contenstants chose ECU and 37 picked Boise St.
Boise State sure made a game of it. The Pirates needed a last second field goal to break a 38 all tie. The current standings are above, just click the image to enlarge.
